Davis winery assets to go on auction block
The assets of Rominger West Winery in Davis will go on the auction block Thursday in an online-only sale.
The sale is being overseen by Tiger Remarketing Services at www.soldtiger.com.
Under the auction format, bidding will be conducted Thursday through July 25, when item bidding will close at a rate of three items per minute starting at 10:30 a.m.
A preview will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 24 at 4602 Second St., in Davis. Checkout will be conducted from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 26-27.
Inventory to be auctioned includes hundreds of wood and steel barrels, 2,900 empty wine bottles, wine glasses, barrel racks, restaurant equipment, computers, furniture, corks and seals.
Wine resellers can bid on cases of bottled wines, with about 20,000 gallons of bulk-wine vintages and varieties available.
Rominger West was founded in 2004 by grape grower Charlie Rominger and winemaker Mark West. The winery closed in April and subsequently initiated a Chapter 7 bankruptcy filing.
